" There was only spring itself;
the throb of it, the light restlessness,
the vital essence everywhere:
in the sky, in the swift clouds, in the pale sunshine,
and in the warm, high wind-rising suddenly, sinking suddenly,
impulsive and playful."
{My Antonia}
Here we are...the end of April nearing and I'm just now posting for March. Ahem.
I'm not sure why it feels like a mental roadblock when I arrive here to post. Between all the various social media platforms out there, does anyone really need one more thing to pop up in their in-box or add to the never-ending list of posts to read in the universe. Yet...I can't help but hope that there's still an appreciation for the old ways of blogging. This little piece of the universe that I can claim as my own without all the un-necessary entanglements that take away from my reason for writing and sharing...for the pure joy of showing up, hoping an image or line resonates with another soul. This is my why and I want to stop questioning if it's enough. To all those bloggers who are still out there sharing the old-fashioned way, thank you!
On to March...
a month where spring
is mighty fickle around here.
days of glorious sunshine
buds bursting forth
and birdsong...
mixed with days of blustery winds
and the occasional snow (honestly, I don't mind).
delighting in the new tulips blooming this year,
so many petals, such pinkish happiness...
(noting where I can plant more this fall)
another college visit checked off the list...
thankfully, that list is not long.
adding a few token treasured books
to my ever-expanding library...
(more on those to come)
I love this month...
a time of quiet transition
from the neutral and hushed palette of winter
to the verdancy and vibrancy of spring...
the vital essence of it all.
